In-House Training

for Business Teams

When training multiple team members simultaneously, in-house programmes provide an efficient pathway. Curriculum content, exercise datasets and practical scenarios are tailored to specific roles, baseline skill levels, internal software setups and active business challenges. Upon request, workshops utilise your familiar data structures, typical operational use cases, or specific company datasets.

Working with internal data accelerates learning retention and simplifies the transition to daily working routines. In-house formats suit teams looking to unify operational standards, adopt new software platforms, or align cross-departmental workflows.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do scheduled public courses differ from “On Request” formats?

Our curriculum features both scheduled public training dates and modules booked “On Request.” Public scheduled courses suit individual participants or small groups seeking short-term skill development. Modules marked “On Request” offer scheduling for closed business teams. For individual inquiries regarding “On Request” modules, dates are finalised once a minimum cohort of four participants is reached.

What differentiates The Information Lab from traditional corporate training providers?

Instruction is delivered by certified BI consultants actively engaged in client projects, rather than full-time academic lecturers. This field experience ensures training avoids theoretical textbook scenarios. Participants learn by resolving real-world project challenges.

Are training modules available as in-house programs for private teams?

Yes. We design customised in-house training for business units or data engineering teams. A key operational benefit is the option to conduct hands-on exercises directly using your actual corporate datasets. This eliminates abstract translation from generic sample data, allowing newly acquired skills in platforms like Tableau, Power BI, dbt, or Alteryx to be applied immediately.

What baseline knowledge is required to attend?

Our curriculum is modular and tailored to varying skill levels. Data Culture and Data Literacy formats require no technical or coding background, focusing on fundamental data-driven principles. For experienced analysts and data engineers, advanced modules cover Data Warehousing, dbt transformation engineering, cloud data platforms and AI implementation.

Do you offer training on Artificial Intelligence deployment in BI?

Yes. Safe, commercially viable AI deployment requires more than understanding Large Language Models (LLMs). Our “AI in BI” courses focus on pragmatic, governance-compliant integration of AI within established reporting workflows. Participants learn how AI accelerates routine analytical tasks and where its technical boundaries lie.

How does the training booking and planning process work?

The process begins with a joint needs assessment to evaluate your team’s specific analytical challenges and determine whether a methodological focus or tool-specific technical instruction is required. Based on this evaluation, we structure a tailored program delivered as a compact webinar, in-house course, or multi-day interactive workshop.
